Today we're announcing the new FirstList Coming Soon distribution network.

Agents and brokerages on FirstList can now obtain a live feed of Coming Soon listings and display them on their own website, in full compliance with pre-marketing regulations.

As we launch, we're excited to share that Property.ca and Condos.ca will be displaying the feed, alongside brokerage and agent websites across Ontario. This puts your listings in front of a combined audience of over 2 million monthly visitors searching across the FirstList distribution network.

How it works

You post a Coming Soon listing as you always have. FirstList distributes it across the network for the duration of its pre-market window. Buyers see the property, the neighbourhood and the specs — and to get the address and price, they register. Those registrations come back to you as leads.

What this means for your sellers

More exposure, earlier — in front of the right buyers.

The home builds interest during its pre-market window instead of waiting for launch day. By the time it goes public, interest has been building for three days: buyers who have seen it, saved it, and been waiting for the address.

Instead of going public into a cold market, you go public into a warm one. And it gives you something concrete to say in a listing presentation — "before we go public, your home will be in front of an audience of millions."

Your Exclusive listings are not affected

Exclusive and Assignment listings are never distributed publicly. They stay inside FirstList, visible only to registered users in compliance with CREA rules.

The whole point of an Exclusive is discretion, and nothing about that has changed. Only Coming Soon listings — the ones already on their way to being publicly listed — are distributed across the network.

If you'd rather not participate

Distribution is on by default for Coming Soon listings. You can turn it off any time in Settings → Distribution, for your whole account or listing by listing.
